What it is
Written to be used, not admired.
Most first websites go wrong before anyone designs anything: the wrong domain, hosting bought on price alone, and no idea what the homepage has to say. This guide gives you one job a week for four weeks, in order: decide what the site does, write every page, build it by the route that suits you, then test it, launch it and bring in your first visitors. Every page ends in something you have done, so you know what you are paying for and can tell when the job has been done properly.
Who it is for
- Business owners getting a website for the first time
- Anyone about to pay a designer and wanting to brief them properly
- Owners whose current site has never brought in an enquiry
What is inside
- A four-week plan: decide in week one, write in week two, build in week three, launch in week four
- Choosing a domain and registering it in your own name, and what hosting really costs, renewal price included
- The seven questions your homepage has to answer, and every page written before anything is designed
- Three ways to build it: brief and check a designer, WordPress, or a page builder, plus how to handle a ready-made HTML site
- Testing the site on a phone and on mobile data, and the handover checklist before you accept it
- Launch day, telling Google your site exists, and bringing in your first visitors
- Five fill-in sheets and our own website launch checklist
After you have read it
What you will be able to do.
- Register a domain in your own name and pick hosting you will not regret in a year
- Brief a designer on one page, or build a simple site yourself
- Write a homepage that says what you do, who it is for and what to do next
- Test the finished site on a phone the way a customer would
- Take the handover knowing you own the domain, hold the logins you need and have a full backup
- Tell Google your site exists and bring in your first visitors, then review it after 30 days
The honest limits
What it will not do.
Every guide has an edge. Here is where this one stops, so you can decide before you pay rather than after.
- It does not teach you to code. It shows an owner how to use WordPress, a page builder or a ready-made HTML site, and how to hire and check a designer.
- It is about a business site of a few pages. An online store has payment and delivery to sort out, which is a different job.
- It will not write your content for you. It gives you worksheets and outlines. The facts about your business have to come from you.
Before you buy
Delivery, refunds and updates.
We email it to you once the payment clears. If you are still waiting, message us on WhatsApp and we will send the file to you directly.
If the file won't open, you got the wrong guide, you were charged twice, or the guide is clearly different from what this page describes, tell us within fourteen days and we'll refund you in full. Once a guide has been downloaded, we can't refund it because you changed your mind. The full terms are on our refund policy page.
Not for corrections. If we fix a broken link, a price that moved, a step Google renamed, or anything we simply got wrong, you get the new file by email and pay nothing. If the guide ever grows new chapters rather than corrected ones, that is a new edition and a separate product, and buyers of this one hear about it first.
Yes. You get PDF and EPUB with no copy protection, so it opens on a phone, a laptop or an e-reader. It is yours. The only thing we ask is that you do not resell it or pass it around as your own.
No. It is written for business owners, not developers. Where a step genuinely needs someone technical, the guide says so plainly instead of pretending it is a five-minute job.
