Terms of service.

The terms on which we provide our services and on which you use this website. Written to be read, not to be skipped.

Last updated: 27 August 2026This document is written in plain English on purpose. If anything in it is unclear, ask us and we will explain it rather than pointing at a clause.

These terms

These terms apply to your use of digital-krypton.com and to the services we provide. By using this website you accept them. If we agree a separate written contract for a project, that contract takes precedence over these terms wherever the two differ.

Our services

We provide web design and development, search engine optimisation, AI marketing automation, paid advertising, social media marketing, branding, and related consultancy. The specific scope of any engagement is set out in a written proposal that you approve before work begins.

Anything not listed in that proposal is out of scope. If you want something added, we will quote it separately rather than quietly absorbing it or quietly dropping something else.

Quotes and pricing

Prices published on this website are accurate at the time of publication and are set and billed in FCFA. The contract price is always the FCFA figure. Where an international client is invoiced in another currency, the amount is converted at the rate on the day of invoicing, and your bank’s own rate may differ again.

A written proposal is valid for thirty days. Once you accept it, the price is fixed for the scope described, and it does not change unless the scope does.

Payment

Unless the proposal says otherwise, project work is invoiced fifty per cent to begin and fifty per cent on handover. Larger builds are split across agreed milestones. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance.

We accept bank transfer, MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money locally, and international transfer or card for clients abroad. Work does not begin until the first invoice is settled.

If an invoice remains unpaid, we may pause work after giving you notice. We will not delete anything or take a live site offline over a payment dispute.

What we need from you

Projects depend on both sides. We need content, feedback and access delivered within the timescales agreed in the proposal. If those are late, the delivery date moves, and we will tell you as soon as it becomes likely rather than at the deadline.

You are responsible for making sure that any content, images, logos or data you give us is yours to use. We cannot verify that, and we rely on your assurance that it is.

Ownership

On full payment, ownership of the final deliverables produced specifically for you passes to you. Domains, hosting accounts and third-party service accounts are registered in your name from the start, and every credential is handed to you at project close.

We retain ownership of our own pre-existing tools, templates, processes and know-how, which we reuse across clients. Third-party components such as themes, plugins and stock assets remain subject to their own licences, which we will tell you about.

Unless you ask us not to, we may show the work in our portfolio and describe what we did. If you would rather we did not, tell us and we will not.

Revisions and changes

Revisions at the design stage are included as set out in the proposal. Changes requested after a stage has been approved and built are chargeable, because they mean redoing work that was signed off. We will always tell you the cost before doing it, never afterwards.

What we do not promise

We do not guarantee search rankings, traffic volumes, sales or any specific commercial outcome. Nobody honest does, because search engines, advertising platforms and markets are outside anyone's control.

What we do commit to is performing the agreed work competently, following current best practice and platform guidelines, reporting honestly on results, and telling you promptly when something is not working.

Cancellation

You can cancel a project at any time. You pay for the work completed to that point, and you receive it. Deposits covering work already performed are not refundable, and anything paid for work not yet started is returned.

Retainers require the minimum initial term stated in the proposal. After that term, either side can end the arrangement with thirty days' written notice. We will not make leaving difficult, and you keep everything in your own accounts.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with any engagement is limited to the fees you paid us for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost business.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Third-party services

Our work often involves third-party platforms: hosting, WordPress, plugins, Google, Meta, payment gateways and others. We choose them carefully and configure them properly, but we do not control them, and we are not responsible for their outages, price changes or policy decisions.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon, and the courts of Cameroon have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Before anyone goes near a court, we would ask that you talk to us. In our experience essentially every disagreement in this industry is a misunderstanding about scope, and those are resolved by a conversation.

We would far rather answer a question about a policy now than have it become a disagreement later.
