Who we are
Digital Krypton is a digital marketing agency based in Yaoundé, Cameroon, operating the website at digital-krypton.com. We provide web design, search engine optimisation, AI marketing automation, paid advertising, social media marketing and branding services.
In this policy, “we” and “us” means Digital Krypton, and “you” means anyone using this website or contacting us through it.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to answer you and to run our business. Specifically:
Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site, request an audit, book a call, buy a digital product or apply for a role, we receive what you typed. That is typically your name, email address, phone number, business name, website address, and whatever you chose to write in the message field.
Information collected automatically. Like almost every website, our server records standard technical information about visits: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the site you arrived from. Where analytics are enabled, this is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful.
Information from clients. If you become a client, we necessarily hold project information, correspondence, invoicing details and any account access you grant us.
We do not collect payment card details on this website. Payments are processed by the payment provider, and card numbers never reach our servers.
Why we use it
We use your information for these purposes and no others:
- To reply to your enquiry and to prepare a quote or proposal
- To deliver a service or a digital product you have bought
- To send the audit or report you requested
- To arrange and hold a call you asked for
- To meet our accounting and legal obligations
- To improve this website, using aggregate data rather than individual records
We do not add you to a marketing list because you used a contact form. If you want our newsletter you have to ask for it, separately and deliberately, and you can leave at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we never will.
We share it only with the service providers we need to operate, and only to the extent required. That includes our hosting provider, our email provider, our payment processors, and analytics services where enabled. Each of these processes data on our behalf under their own terms.
We use AI assistants to help sort incoming enquiries and draft replies. A person reads and approves every reply before it is sent.
We will also disclose information where we are legally required to do so. If that ever happens and we are permitted to tell you, we will.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to two years, then deleted. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and for as long afterwards as accounting and tax obligations require, which in practice means several years.
Job applications are kept for one year unless you ask us to delete them sooner, so that we can contact you if a suitable role opens.
If you would like your information removed earlier than any of these, ask us. Unless we are legally required to keep it, we will delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us to do any of the following, and we will not make it difficult:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete what we hold, where we are not required to keep it
- Send you a copy of what you gave us
- Stop using your information for a particular purpose
Email us and we will action it. We do not require a formal process, and we do not charge for it.
Security
This website is served over an encrypted connection. Access to enquiry and client data is limited to those who need it to deliver your project. Client credentials are stored in a password manager and never sent in plain text.
No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affected your information, we would tell you promptly and tell you what to do about it.
Children
This website and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change is significant and affects existing clients, we will tell those clients directly rather than relying on them to re-read the page.
