St. Frederick’s Hotel

The brief. Enquiries arrived at all hours, and each one needed a person to check a book, confirm the room was free and quote a rate. If that took until morning, the guest had already booked somewhere else.

What we built. A hotel website built around one job: take the booking without a phone call. Room pages with real availability, a reservation flow that works on a phone, and rates that are easy to update from the dashboard.

Where it stands. Guests see real availability and reserve a room without anyone at the hotel being involved. Staff change rates and availability from a dashboard the same day, with no developer in the loop.

House of BKN

The brief. Almost every customer here shops on a phone and pays with Mobile Money, and a shop owner cannot stop to brief a developer every time a product sells out.

What we built. A skincare and beauty store built to sell from a phone. Product pages with real stock, local payment options at checkout, and a catalogue the team restocks themselves without calling us.

Where it stands. The store runs in English and French, takes MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money at checkout, and the team adds products and updates stock themselves.

Gender Empowerment & Development

The brief. Funders and partners kept writing in to ask for documents that were already public, and every small change to the site had to go through somebody technical.

What we built. Built and managed on our care plan. Programme and report sections that non-technical staff update themselves, structured so funders and partners can find the documents they came for.

Where it stands. Programme and report sections are edited by non-technical staff. The site sits on our care plan, so updates, backups and renewals are handled rather than remembered.

Louis Edem Foundation

The brief. The old site opened by explaining who the foundation was rather than what it does, so anyone arriving ready to help had to go looking for the way in.

What we built. A redesign that put the mission and the ways to get involved above the fold, plus ongoing maintenance so the site stays current between campaigns.

Where it stands. The mission and the calls to get involved sit above the fold. Ongoing maintenance means the site does not quietly drift out of date once a campaign ends.

VPN Best Reviews

The brief. Clients kept asking whether AI could write their content. We did not want to answer that from opinion, so we built a site to find out and paid for it ourselves.

What we built. Our own project, and our test bed: an AI-assisted content site with a human editing layer, built to prove what AI-supported publishing can and cannot do for search.

Where it stands. It is still our test bed. What we learn there is what we tell clients about AI content, including the parts that do not work and the shortcuts that get sites penalised.
